Martin Lillich: Self-taught on the ebass, studied classical double bass at the Hochschule der Künste with Klaus Stoll. Lessons with among others Ron Carter, Walter Norris, David Liebman. He also plays 6 string acoustic fretless bass. Since 2005 he has also been working with fifths tuning on double bass and bass. Musically at home in Classical, Caribbean, Jazz, Orient, Klezmer, Flamenco, Afro. As a soloist and as a sideman, he is a well-known part of the German jazz scene.
